Lead Researcher of the Oklahoma Archeological Survey Remote Sensing Program

Topic:

Dr. Hammerstedt will speak about his team’s current research on the Spiro Landscape Archaeological Project (SLAP) investigating pre-historic habitation in and around the famous Spiro Mounds archaeological site in Southeastern Oklahoma including the use of remote sensing methods to locate and, in some cases, identify structures and artifacts.
