Presentation Title: Utilizing a Multidisciplinary Approach to Reservoir and Completion Optimization within the Woodford Shale Play of the Arkoma Basin

  • Applying geologic and engineering technologies, in parallel, to enhance reservoir understanding.
  • Improvement in infill development via target zone and completion adjustments.
  • Mitigation of FDIs in infill development. 
Speaker: Stephen Zagurski

Stephen Zagurski is a Regional Manager at Foundation Energy Management (FEM), where he manages all Midcontinent operations. Since joining Foundation in early 2021, he began his tenure as an Asset Geologist of FEM’s assets in the Midcontinent and Gulf Coast regions. His projects included R&D, exploration, exploitation, and execution of new drills, recompletions, workovers, and asset evaluations. In 2024, he transitioned into an Operations Manager role, where he oversees field production and field development of FEM’s Arkoma-Woodford assets. Prior to his time at FEM, Stephen held an Operations Geologist position at Roxanna Oil Company in Houston, TX.

Stephen received his M.S. in Subsurface Geoscience from Rice University while holding his position at Roxanna Oil Company. Prior to his time at Roxanna and Rice, he was a Student-Athlete at Southeast Missouri State University, where he received his B.S. in Environmental Soil Science.
